Denim, won't you be my friend?

Hey All!  LBP (little black pump) here, bringing you my insight into all things fashion.

Today I would like to talk about denim...you know I have been around a LONG time and I have seen a lot of denim in my day...a lot.  Now, you have to believe me when I say that todays denim is by far my favorite so far...and I am not just saying that.  I mean, what reason do I have to lie? I am a black pump!

Since we at Barbara/Jean (my home) have quite a bit of denim in right now, I would like to tell you about my experiences with the different styles.

TOP ROW: 

On the far left we have the AG Stilt in Mulberry.  (i'll call her Berry).  Berry has some special qualities...of course her color makes her super cool and fashion forward but she is the softest jean I ever met!  She is a sassy one I tell ya, but she has a soft side.  She is also seen on the far right end of the table (in brown and orange)

Next we have the Habitual denim in Claret (i'll call her Claire)...Claire has been really fun to hang out with.  She is playful and will last forever...trust me...she won't leave me alone! A good quality in a jean though.

The small stack next to Claire is the Habitual "Alice" coated skinny jean.  She is also the first two from the left on the bottom row.  Now Alice, she's a knockout.  She has the effect of leather without the price and without the struggle to get in them... We have her in a camel, black, and green/gray.  I must say, she and I look really good together.  A night out with Alice is guaranteed to be a good night!

What Goes Around Comes Around...indeed it does

Hey All!

Forgive me for the year long absence, but I am back, so don't worry.

Today I will be talking about this guy:

I am pretty lucky to get to be around this What Goes Around Comes Around fur vest...and I am not taking advantage of this quality time.  I keep asking her questions...and unlike the Valentino boot, she's much more talkative.  Appreciated.

I asked her what her favorite part of being a vest was and she told me.  Man did she tell me, I mean this girl can talk!

Heres the rundown

Me: How often would you say you get to accompany outfits? Being a fur vest and all

FV: I am actually used much more than one might think...since I am a separate, I get to be worn somewhat like a jacket...I can be an everyday piece.  A lot of people don't know that about me.

Me: Really?  Explain...

FV: A lot of people think that since I am so loud, I can only be worn occasionally, this is where people misjudge me.  Instead of being a part of an "outfit", I am more valuable as a layering piece.  For example, I can be worn with a white t shirt and skinny jeans to class/running errands in early fall, add a sweater under me and I am just as useful (and cute) in the winter.  

Me: So, FV....could you give me some more examples of ways to wear you, i'd love to know more.

FV: Sure!! I sure do love to talk about myself!!  A lot of people think I am more of a dressy item, and I can be!  I am super cute over dresses and leather leggings (see below).  But like I said, I am really becoming more of an everyday/every look outfit.

Me: So, what is your favorite way to be a part of someones everyday wardrobe?

FV: Thank you for this question, I've been waiting to talk about this.  Think of your fall/winter jacket...preferable something less bulky (not down) and then picture me over it.  I know, I know, I'm a genius...but seriously!!  This allows you to be more fashionable while staying warm.  It is the chest area that needs the most protection in the cold, and thats where I come in!  Throw me on everyday over your jacket and create an entire different look.  You will be warmer, without the bulk...and when you get inside, you can use me alone without the jacket to keep warm without getting all sweaty...ew.

Valentino, Bows, and Boots...Oh My!

So, today I am going to be talking about the new Valentino boots.  Man, are these boots sexy...if only I could look like that.  Not that my confidence is low or anything, but boots are so in right now, I can't help but daydream about them all day.  Here's my new favorite pair. (I have been trying to get in touch with her, but it keeps going straight to voicemail...thoughts?)

She has bows...can we say GENIOUS!!  Right when you think you know someone, they go and suprise you.  I swear I was just getting to know Mr. Valentino and then he pulls out all the stops.  She is sexy, feminine, and still fierce.  Her ability to go from day to night is one of my favorite things about her, put her with some skinny jeans for a day time look and then vamp her up with a LBD and voila...the perfect boots for fall.

I think i'll try calling one more time...
